Everyone has their own “self image”. That is we all feel a certain way about how we look. It doesn’t help that we are constantly bombarded by advertisers with “perfect bodies”. This can dramatically affect our confidence levels.
It’s also true that the majority of us have features we like, and some we are very happy with. We are comfortable in our own environment at home but if we have to go out we get all worked up. So basically because we inhabit an appearance driven world we get paranoid about certain parts of our bodies or maybe even the whole thing. Because we are so looks obsessed it’s good for exploitative advertising and the fashion industry, even though it’s bad for ourselves.
Everyone has a certain facial shape. Yours may be round, oblong, square, thin, or a combination of these. So if you have a full healthy looking face, you may think it is too fat.
